FOUND: The joys of novelty holiday soaps

The other night I attended a wonderful Christmas party at the home of friends with my dear friend Lynda. We had a great time, made even better by Lynda’s suggestion that we use a car service to and from the event so I could (for the first time ever) partake in an adult beverage at a party. But that is a story for another time.
While mingling with the other guests, I ran into an old friend whom I had not seen in ages. While reminiscing about times past, he mentioned that he still had the decorative soaps a mutual friend brought to his house as a host gift at his Fourth of July party years ago. He said he not only still had them, but they are on display in his bathroom – and this event was more than 10 years ago.
I asked him why he kept them and never used them, he said something to effect of “they’re too nice.” Lynda chimed in saying that she currently had a snowman soap on display in her bathroom and would be heartbroken if anyone ever actually used it. I was staying with Lynda overnight and can attest to the snowman soap’s existence and it was all I could do not to suds him up.
Anyway, I am not a decorative soap guy, but if I were, I would definitely have the Nutcracker Soaps from Gianna Rose Atelier in my bathrooms right now. Maybe I’ll send my old friend a set of these for old time’s sake.
