I love this birdhouse that sits atop a pole in the back yard of my parents country home of which I am currently caretaker.

I can see this bird house from the kitchen window and is often the view I look at to mark the weather and the seasons.

I like this view, from the ground in the late day autumn sun with the weather barn in the background.

JAGWSPLost Cowboy is a nonpartisan blog, so I will not be endorsing a candidate in the upcoming election.  However, I love American History and I am pretty sure there is a President we can all agree was cool: George Washington.

For Election Day 2008 I had an election night party.  We wore generic “Vote” buttons , tossed red, white and blue balloons, and ate cookies printed with the frosting images of the four major ticket candidates. This year, I am kickin’ it old school and using a historical presidential theme for my election night soiree. And I think I have found the perfect adornment for my party, the George Washington Serving Tray from Jonathan Adler.

About Jonathan Adler’s George Washington Serving Tray: “43 have tried, no one’s done it chicer. Our George Washington melamine is great for the Fourth of July, Flag Day, every day. Put your best fete forward with our George Washington melamine dinnerware and serveware.”

After the party I could hang this on a wall and take it down again February to serve Cherry pie on Presidents’ Day.  Sounds like a good investment to me.
