FF: The Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake from My Grandma’s

HC2You have to have a coffee cake for Christmas, you just have to (see next item). The fine folks at My Grandma’s of New England has some really great coffee cakes you can order for yourself or to send to everyone on your list. There are many fine My Grandma’s cakes to choose from, but you can’t go wrong with her Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake.

About the Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake from My Grandma’s: “This coffee cake started an industry. These cakes are unbelievably moist because we bake them using only the finest and freshest ingredients. After adding farm fresh eggs, pure Bourbon vanilla, and cultured sour cream, we hand pour and double layer each cake with cinnamon streusel. Our original recipe is baked with walnuts but you may choose a no-nut option below, where available.”

FF: The Sour Cream Coffee Cake from Red Truck Bakery

HC3I have ranted before about how great the Sour Cream Coffee Cake from Red Truck Bakery is and how it reminds me of just about every holiday growing up when my mom made a similar cake. Christmas would not be Christmas in my family without a coffee cake and this year it is coming from Red Truck Bakery.

About the Sour Cream Coffee Cake from Red Truck Bakery: “This is Red Truck Bakery’s best-selling coffee cake. It’s an eight-inch round rich sour cream cake with pecans and cinnamon streusel in the center and on top. Great with breakfast, brunch and with coffee, tea, or for a midnight-snack. A smart gift for sending across the country; it travels well, freezes well and stays moist for quite a while.”

FF: The Carolina Christmas Yule Log from Caroline’s Cakes

HC4For more of a dessert cake – you can’t do much better than the traditional Carolina Christmas Yule Log I found from Caroline’s Cakes.

We then ice the outside with our Chocolate Ganache Butter Cream. Each one is hand decorated to resemble the Traditional Yule Log. A beautiful and delicious centerpiece!”
