tf1As part of my Independence Day weekend trip back to New England, I was thrilled to be able to make a quick trip up to the Todd Farm Antiques & Flea Market in Rowley, MA. My dear friend Lynda and I made the early Sunday morning pilgrimage to this great flea market institution like we have done many times in the past and where you may recall I often sold as a vendor over the past several years.

We were treated to a Todd Farm in full seasonal swing and it was great. Neither of us had been to Todd Farm since 2013 so we were surprised to see a very clear shift in the quality of vendors and in particular the way they merchandised their booths. In the past Todd Farm was a place you could go and get a really good deal on goods from dealers as well as the occasional seller who may be just cleaning out the attic. Now, much like Brimfield (the quintessential thrice annual antique market in Brimfield, MA) Todd Farm has definitely shifted to more dealers seeking the retail buyer. That said, there was plenty to look at and still many bargains and great finds.

We had a great morning on a perfect summer’s day in New England.

Todd Farm’s Antiques & Flea Market runs Sundays from April to November in Rowley, MA on the North Shore of Boston.

Brimfield’s summer Show dates are July 14-19 in Brimfield, MA.
