FF: The NYC Water Tower Glass from Fishs Eddy

f1One thing you learn when you visit New York is that New Yorkers don’t look up. If you look up in awe at all the skyscrapers and such, then you are branded a tourist. This may explain why many New Yorkers don’t know that the old school water towers that still grace the city are one of the great icons of the skyline. Now, the fine folks at Fishs Eddy have further immortalized the New York water tower with their NYC Water Tower Glass.

About the NYC Water Tower Glass from Fishs Eddy: “Who says you can`t drink the water? NYC Tap water is famous for its quality! This one of a kind glass is not only perfect for water but also ideal for ice tea, soda, or any of your favorite beverages.”

FF: The Pinot Noir Barrel Aged El Salvador coffee from Water Avenue Coffee Company

f2The fine folks at Portland, OR-based Water Avenue Coffee Company offer many unique blends of coffee, but none better than their Pinot Noir Barrel Aged El Salvador coffee.

About the Pinot Noir Barrel Aged El Salvador coffee from Water Avenue Coffee Company: “We love to celebrate relationships, and this project brings together two great ones: The Menendez family who grow coffee in El Salvador, and Sokol Blosser Winery of Dayton, Oregon. We age the Menendez’s green coffee in oak barrels that once held Sokol Blosser’s famous Pinot Noir, infusing the rich, chocolaty Salvadoran coffee with the poignant grape notes of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.”

nachosIf there ever was an excuse to indulge in one of my most favorite comfort food treats – it is today – National Nachos Day – November 6.

I may have nachos for breakfast, lunch and dinner today!

About National Nachos Day:

“They can be hot. They can be messy. They can range from plain to spicy, served alone as a snack or with a whole range of toppings for a hearty meal. We’re talking about nachos, or course. Pull out your favorite nachos dish or snack and raise a chip in honor of nachos creator Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Anaya.”
