aa4You are never too old to appreciate one of the all-time greatest Christmas books, How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. Sure, you know the story really well from the classic TV special and the big budget film, but settling in with the original text is the best. Every home should have a copy.

About How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss: “The ultimate Dr. Seuss Christmas classic — no holiday season is complete without the Grinch, Max, Cindy-Lou, and all the residents of Who-ville!. ‘Every Who down in Who-ville liked Christmas a lot . . . but the Grinch, who lived just north of Who-ville, did NOT!’ Not since ‘’Twas the night before Christmas’ has the beginning of a Christmas tale been so instantly recognizable. This heartwarming story about the effects of the Christmas spirit will grow even the coldest and smallest of hearts. Like mistletoe, candy canes, and caroling, the Grinch is a mainstay of the holidays, and his story is the perfect gift for young and old. And don’t forget to celebrate Grinch-mas this Christmas season, the annual holiday tradition inspired by How the Grinch Stole Christmas that encourages readers to grow their hearts three sizes by doing good deeds!”

The best part about How the Grinch Stole Christmas is that it is fun to read aloud – even if there is no one else around to hear you.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss is available from Amazon and other fine book retailers.

aaa2I am really digging the Cabin Accent Light I found from the fine folks at Plow & Hearth. I like the warm light it provides- perfect for those cold winter nights still ahead.

About the Cabin Accent Light from Plow & Hearth:

“Our electric Tiffany-style Cabin Accent Light glows with the simple life’s charm. Finely crafted of stained glass and metal, the enclosed cabin lights up with a chandelier bulb, warming the translucent panes with light that looks like its right out of the fireplace. Tickets to see Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway.

“A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. Evan Hansen is about to get the one thing he’s always wanted: a chance to finally fit in. Both deeply personal and profoundly contemporary, Dear Evan Hansen is a new American musical about life and the way we live it.”

aaa1If there is one thing more British than Christmas Crackers it is tea. Now I have found the best combination ever – the Christmas Crackers with Tea from the fine folks at David’s Tea.

About the Christmas Crackers with Tea from David’s Tea:

“These are one of our all-time favourite holiday traditions. What’s the point of a festive celebration if you can’t wear a paper crown and tell goofy jokes? To spark up any holiday dinner, just include a cracker over each place setting. Everybody cracks theirs open with a neighbour to reveal the goodies inside. Instant party. Each cracker contains a sample bag of loose leaf tea, a tea filter, a paper crown and, of course, a tea-themed joke.”

A Star Wars Tauntaun Sleeping Bag from Think Geek:

“Slumber in the Belly of the Beast – In the sub-zero wasteland of the planet Hoth, only the strong survive – and of course those lucky Jedi protected by the thick skin of a Tauntaun. Now after exhaustive movie-viewing research and analysis, ThinkGeek Labs has isolated the exact synthetic compounds needed to re-create Tauntaun fur. What have we done with this supreme knowledge? Created a Tauntaun sleeping bag, of course.”

I’ve waited ten months to post this picture – a shot of the It’s A Wonderful Shop hidden in the back lot of  Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL – from my visit there last February.

The shop offers Christmas-themed Disney products and it is awesome.
