I am not sure I have mentioned it here before or not but I love all things Planet of the Apes. I grew up watching all the original movies on TV and have loved everything related to the franchise ever since – even the lackluster reboots over the years.

I love all the Apes-themed products that have been produced over the years and I have a pretty solid collection myself. However, one of my favorite Apes-themed items are the trading cards which were produced by Topps (famous for baseball cards) – each one a little artistic relic of the iconic series. Which is why I love that all the Planet of the Apes cards released over the years have been combined in one very cool book: Planet of the Apes: The Original Topps Trading Card Series.

About Planet of the Apes: The Original Topps Trading Card Series:

“In 1969, Topps released a set of trading cards based on the classic 1968 science-fiction film Planet of the Apes. The original set of trading cards proved so successful that Topps released a set based on the 1975 television series and the 2001 reboot film by Tim Burton. This deluxe collection includes the fronts and backs of all 44 cards from the original 1969 Topps set based on the original film; all 66 cards based on the 1975 television series; and all 90 base cards, 10 sticker cards, and 44 chase cards from the 2001 film. Also included are four exclusive bonus trading cards, rare promotional images, and an introduction and commentary by Gary Gerani, editor of hundreds of trading card series for Topps.”

Planet of the Apes: The Original Topps Trading Card Series is available from Amazon and other fine booksellers everywhere.
