Part of our annual trip to Cape Cod is a jaunt to the very end the land – Provincetown, the funky, hip and cool artists’ colony fishing village at the very tip of the Cape.
We love exploring the shops and galleries. We always find some interesting things and end up spending way too much money on things we didn’t know we needed. On this year’s visit I fell off the watch-aholic recovery wagon and purchase a new watch, something I definitely did not need but just had to have.
Anyway, one of the shops we spent a ton of time in this year was Chadington’s. I bought a really cool desk top box complete with a monkey on top. Our companion visiting from DC was able to pick up some unique wedding gifts for upcoming events.
I think the way Chadington’s describes themselves is spot on: “Chadington’s of Provincetown, located on Commercial Street in the heart of beautiful Provincetown, Massachusetts is the dream fulfilled of owners and partners Rob Foster and Gerry Ragucci. They opened Chadington’s doors in July 2007 with a mission to assemble and present to you an elegant and eclectic mix of home decor and gifts with a touch of wit and whimsy best described as traditional with a kick. Between them Rob and Gerry have decades of retail and design experience. Together with their friendly and experienced staff they have created an environment that is relaxed, cheerful and visually exciting and dedicated to the best in customer service. Whether your need is that special gift or the perfect touch for home or entertaining, Chadington’s of Provincetown, Uniquities for the Home is here to serve you.”
In addition to the fine wares for sale in the shop, Chadington’s has a nice website with some great products.
