AFBWe are less than two weeks away from the first major exhibition of my artwork. On Saturday, June 15, 2013 I will be participating in Arts Fest Beverly in Beverly, MA. This will be my first juried show where my photography, and limited assemblages, will be on display and for sale to the public and I am super excited.

I am particularly excited because Arts Fest Beverly is a juried event, meaning my work had to pass a panel of judges to be approved for exhibition

Beverly is a great place to visit and a nice jumping off point for a day on the North Shore of Boston and Cape Ann. If you are in the area and want a fun day out, Arts Fest Beverly is a great event and I would love to see you there.

JCPThe introduction of a new stamp may seem old fashioned these days with email and print-at-home postage, but I am really excited about today’s release of the new Johnny Cash stamp. I am a big fan of Mr. Cash and can’t wait to add these to every letter and card I send. The new Johnny Cash stamp is a “forever” stamp which means no matter what the future holds for the cost of a first class stamp – you can use these forever.

About the Johnny Cash (Forever) Stamp: “Johnny Cash (1932-2003) is best remembered internationally as a country music artist, but we feel his influence just about everywhere—from rock and folk to blues and gospel. The Johnny Cash (Forever®) stamp is being issued this year as part of the exciting new Music Icons stamp series. Resembling the appearance of a 45 rpm record sleeve, the square stamp features a photograph taken by Frank Bez during the photo session for Ring of Fire: The Best of Johnny Cash (1963). In the photo, Cash stares out at the viewer through a veil of shadow, his brooding expression fitting for an artist known to so many people simply as the Man in Black.”

I can’t believe it has been ten years already since Mr. Cash passed away. But the Man in Black lives on with his enduring music and with honors like this stamp. I have ordered a ton of these stamps which I plan on using… forever.
