BeretThere is nothing like a morning spent poking through one of France’s iconic flea markets searching for little treasures and big finds. Of course we can’t all make it to Paris on a regular basis, so it is really cool that fine folks like those at French General do it for us. French General has a finely curated collection of finds from French flea markets available for sale and it is great.

About The Treasures from France from French General:

“After combing the flea markets, brocantes and vide greniers in France this summer, we found some very special treasures.  We hope you enjoy our collection of the small bits of old French history.”

The collection includes…

…things like a set of vintage French beret labels (above right):

“A set of eight different machine-sewn labels that were made to be sewn inside of the Spanish berets. Found in an old hat factory in France, these labels are in unused condition and would look perfect framed or sewn onto cards. A small bit of French textile history from the 1920’s.”

…or this Antique Patisserie Collection:

“Antique collection of patisserie molds, pans, tools, flutes and tips.  Collection is being sold as a complete set.  There are over 170 cleaned, restored and usable pieces in this collection.”
